There's no account to delete
ZynPey has no user accounts and no server, so there is no "delete my account" request to submit to us in the traditional sense — every piece of data the app holds already lives only on your own device, under your own control, at all times. This page explains exactly what you can delete yourself, what to do if you can't, and what — if anything — is retained afterward.
How to request deletion — in-app (primary method)
This is the fastest and most complete way to delete your data, and it's supported directly in the app today:
- A single transaction, budget, goal, asset, or liability — delete it directly from where it appears in the app.
- A pending SMS suggestion — dismiss or delete it from the SMS review screen.
- An entire import batch — open Import History in Profile and delete or unlink the batch; every transaction it created is removed at once.
- Everything at once — open Profile → Clear All App Data and confirm by typing the word shown on screen. This permanently erases every account, transaction, category, budget, goal, asset, and liability stored on your device, and resets your preferences.
All of the above happen immediately, entirely on your device — there is no processing delay, because there is no server involved.
Alternative method — if you can't use the app yourself
Because all data lives only on the device ZynPey is installed on, the alternative to in-app deletion is uninstalling the app or resetting the device — not a request to us, since we hold no copy of your data to delete on your behalf. Uninstalling ZynPey removes its local database along with it, following standard Android/iOS behavior.
If you have a question about this process, or believe data was retained somewhere you didn't expect, contact us using the details below and we'll help however we can — [confirm the expected response time for support requests, e.g. "within 3–5 business days"].
What data will be deleted
Clearing all app data, or uninstalling the app, removes every category of data described in our Privacy Policy: accounts, transactions, categories, budgets, goals, assets, liabilities, your local profile name/email, SMS-derived suggestions, and statement import history.
What may need to be retained, and why
In the app itself: nothing. Once data is cleared or the app is uninstalled, we have no server-side copy to retain, because none is ever created.
Outside the app, two things are outside our control and not affected by in-app deletion:
- Backup or export files you previously saved or shared elsewhere (Files, email, cloud drive, etc.) are not touched by "Clear All App Data" — you'll need to delete those yourself from wherever you stored them.
- Support email correspondence, if you've contacted us, may be retained for a limited period as part of normal business email records — [confirm your actual email retention practice/period here]. This correspondence does not include your financial data unless you chose to include it in your message to us.
Is deletion reversible?
No. "Clear All App Data" and uninstalling the app are both irreversible unless you created a backup file beforehand using Backup & Restore. Deleting a single item or an import batch is also permanent and cannot be undone from within the app.
Revoking permissions
You can revoke the SMS or biometric permission at any time from your device's system Settings. The app keeps working normally either way — Bank SMS Tracking simply stops suggesting new transactions. This is a permission change, not a data deletion, so it doesn't remove anything already stored.
